Kyriba – Product Redesign & Design System Rebrand

Kyriba is a cloud-based financial platform that empowers businesses with treasury, risk management, payments, and working capital solutions. It helps finance leaders enhance liquidity, unify financial data, and drive digital transformation.

As a key contributor, I played a pivotal role in the full product redesign, led the design system rebrand, and conducted in-depth research to refine the vision of Kyriba’s flagship product.

The Challenge

Kyriba’s existing treasury management system was outdated, limiting real-time visibility into global cash positions and making liquidity optimization and cash forecasting difficult. Additionally, businesses operating across multiple geographies struggled to monitor and hedge currency risks effectively.

User feedback highlighted major pain points, including the lack of a centralized insights dashboard and a complex, multi-level navigation structure that made key features difficult to find. My work focused on addressing these challenges through strategic design improvements and a user-centered approach.

Objective

Beyond rebranding Kyriba, the goal was to centralize treasury operations insights into a dedicated dashboard that provided real-time cash visibility and financial risk assessments.

To achieve this, I needed to rethink how features and functions were organized, ensuring the new structure supported:

  • Role-based dashboards and permissions for tailored user experiences.

  • Feature-specific secondary dashboards for deeper financial insights.

  • Custom financial data modeling tools, including peer-reviewed data compilation and approval flows for treasury managers and CFOs.

Process

  • Product Audit & Research: Conducted a comprehensive audit to map existing features and identify usability gaps.

  • User Workshops & Testing: Led research workshops and customer studies to determine optimal navigation structures and dashboard organization.

  • Collaboration with Engineering: Developed a phased migration plan to seamlessly transition functions across different pages while maintaining usability.

The redesign transformed Kyriba’s product experience, delivering:
